Most importantly, windows should be safe. If we want our windows to be distinguished by the increased protection against burglary, we should equip them with a few elements such as a bigger number of anti-burglar latches, handles with a key or anti-burglary panes. Then we can obtain the resistance class close to RC1N [WK1] or RC2 [WK2] classes.
These versatile solutions are ensured by the Maco Multi-Matic fittings and we can adapt them in order to satisfy individual needs and requirements of our customers. Windows equipped with appropriate hardware elements can be an excellent barrier for burglars.
In order to increase a user's comfort and window resistance class, we recommend to equip windows with the so-called moveable mullion. What is more, we also recommend them to customers who seek alternative solutions. A moveable mullion is nothing more than an element of a window structure that is fixed to one of its sashes. Only this solution enables us to obtain a window full opening without being divided by a mullion.
The Maco Multi-Matic hardware can be equipped with additional anti-burglar latches and other elements. Our offer also includes hardware of the RC1N [WK1] and RC2 [WK2] classes.
We cannot name a window safe without steel reinforcement in its profiles. Windows can be called anti-burglary ones when they are equipped with a closed steel reinforcement all around its sash. Moreover, it has to be fixed to the profiles with screws in spaces strictly defined by their profile system.
PVC alone is not durable enough to let a window operate properly. However, a chamber structure of windows allows to add the so-called sections that will reinforce their structure.

Safety glass, due to its unique structure, is characterised by the increased resistance to breaking. Nevetheless, when it is broken, parts of glass are sticked to the film therefore any injuries of people nearby are unlikely to occur.
Anti-burglary glass in an effective way to reduce a risk of breaking in or theft. We recommend glass of the P2 resistance class (2 panes of glass and 2 layers of the film) as well as P4 (2 panes of glass and 4 layers of the film) resistance class.
In places where glass increased durability is required, tempered glass is also used. It shows 7 times higher mechanical resistance. Furthermore, it is resistant to temperature fluctuations and a thermal shock. Last but not least, it also reduces a risk of being hurt when a pane breaks.
Additional protection against burglary can be reed switches and alarm loops in the glazing. Reed switches are magnetic sensors of a window opening. The alarm will go off when the fitting around the window changes its place. A window undesirable opening will cause interference in the electromagnetic circuit and it will activate the alarm. We offer various types of magnetic sensors and they can be installed either outside or on the surface of a window.
A problem in securing against burglary may also be solved by using a pane with an alarm loop. The alarm system will be activated immediately after breaking the glass. Installation of the loop is possible only with the use of tempered glass that itself is a very effective anti-burglary protection and reduces a risk of being hurt to the minimum when a glass pane has been broken.
A properly selected handle is a double protection for a window. On one hand, it secures a window against burglary. On the other hand, it is to protect children inside. In both cases a Hoppe Secustik handle with a key will be of great use.
The handle is equipped with a patented blocking mechanism that enables to move a window fittings from the inside. How does the mechanism work? We turn a handle and we close a window - the fittings move. When one attempts to push or tries to insert a screwdriver into a handle from the outside, the Secustik mechanism blocks the window and its sliding is impossible. This solution will definitely surprise and may effectively discourage burglars. A key in the handle will also guarantee that a window will not be opened by a child present in the building.
