First of all, windows should be safe. If we need improved protection against burglars, we should consider some additional elements such as more anti-burglary bolts, locked handles, and safety glass panes. They allow us to achieve anti-burglary class level close to WK1 or WK2.
For wooden windows, selection of wood is crucial. Three or four layers of wood are glued while maintaining alternating growth rings so as to provide stability and durability. Painting system uses ecological paints thinned with water, providing a top-quality coating.
Safety largely depends on the type of handle. A Hoppe Secusting handle with a lock and a key may be the most reasonable solution. Equipped with a patented blocking mechanism (an integrated basic protective device), the handle prevents the window from being opened from the outside. How does the mechanism work? When we turn the handle and close the window, the hardware moves. If somebody tries to push the window or insert a screwdriver into the handle, the Secustik mechanism blocks the window. Such a solution will definitely surprise burglars and it may prevent them from proceeding with the attempt. The key in the handle guarantees that nobody will open the window from the inside.

Due to its unique structure, a safety glass pane has increased resistance to breaking or shattering. Even in the pane is broken, the pieces of glass remain fixed to a film, minimising the risk of injury to any persons nearby. Anti-burglary glass panes effectively reduce the risk of a burglary. We recommend the following resistance classes: P2 (2 glass panes and 2 layers of film) and P4 (2 glass panes and 4 layers of film).
