Energy efficient doors and windows are the future of the construction industry. Aluminium windows provide excellent performance and thermal insulation. We are proud to present accessories that reduce the heat transfer coefficient of our doors and windows.
An insulating spacer constitutes the heart of the whole energy efficient window. Standard spacers are made of aluminium, thus letting heat through. However, insulating spacers are made of thermally optimised high quality organic materials, reinforced with glass fibre. They provide hermetic sealing of gases present between panes, eliminate thermal bridges, seal the panes, and reduce the heat transfer coefficient of the window. Using insulating spacers enables you to save up to 5% of the cost of heating in your house or flat.
One of the main factors that affect the energy efficiency of windows is the thickness of the glass package. Our profiles enable you to use two-chamber and even three-chamber glass packages. The outer surface of glass panes in our system is coated with a low-emission coating (carbon monoxide). The noble gas used to fill the space between the panes is essential as well. Standard packages are filled with argon. Krypton is also available at a request, providing even better insulating barrier power. For solutions for energy-efficient houses or passive houses, we recommend MB-86 and MB-104 Passive in AERO version. In this case, the space between thermal breaks is filled with aerogel inserts. This is the solution which ensures excellent heat transfer coefficient. Also, the MB-104 Passive windows meet the highest thermal insulation requirements, which was confirmed by certificates issued by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt.
The MB-60 and MB-70 systems feature HI version for better thermal insulation of buildings. Special insulating inserts located in the central chamber improve thermal insulation properties.
